WELCOME TO THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION FOR BLACK VETERANS! We are a Veterans Service Organization (VSO) website! Our organization is dedicated to serving the needs of our veterans and their families, and we are committed to providing support, advocacy, and resources to help our Veterans and Their Families transition back to civilian life.

Our Mission
National association for black veterans, inc. History nabvets, inc. Initially the “interested veterans of the central city (ivocc),” was established and incorporated by seven vietnam combat veterans in milwaukee, wisconsin (1969). In 1973, it was reorganized to become a membership service organization with the charge of addressing issues concerning black and other minority veterans. In 1998, nabvets, inc. Became a national veterans service organization (vso); and was certified by the department of veterans affairs (va) to represent veterans filing claims for their benefits.
